WHAT'S NEW
05/31/06
The cost of raw materials for our coil product (specifically copper, aluminum, and crating lumber), along with freight costs, has continued to escalate. These cost pressures have forced us to make a new price adjustment that is put forth in our new coil program. This price increase will be effective on all orders received after May 31, 2006. An updated program will be available for download from our website, www.precision-coils.com, on May 15th. The new Version 3.6 Program will update the list prices so that your current multipliers remain the same. Version 3.6 Program Upgrades To better serve the needs of our customers, we have also made a few changes to the program. The following improvements and features have been added to version 3.6. Booster Coils Selections · Booster coil selections have been improved by adding inputs for fin height and fin length. This will restrict the booster selection list to your specific size and speed up the selection process. · Option has been added to change tube wall, fin thickness, and casing style (standard or   slip & drive) for booster coil selections Vent Drain Locations · Vent and Drain locations and size options have been added the program. Drawings will   show 1/2 inch or 1/4 inch vents and drains on the face or end caps of the headers as   they are selected. Default vent/drain size will be 1/2 inch. Also, as a footnote, special  vents and drains can be specified.
Right Angle Connections/Staggered Headers
· Support has been added to drawings for offset headers with right angle connections. The   program will automatically adjust the OAL dimensions if headers need to be staggered   for connection clearance.
Headers Extend Outside Casing Notification
· If applicable, a footnote will appear on the drawing warning customers that "Headers   extend outside casing (not shown in drawing). Increase CD dimension to keep headers  inside casing." For air handler applications as well as shipping purposes, it is  recommended that the customer increase casing depth to keep headers inside the  casing. Copy Schedule/Setup Schedule Feature
· For customizing large quotes that have several items in the schedule, the program has  a 'copy schedule' feature, which allows you to copy and paste a list of selections into  any spreadsheet or word processing application. Before copying the data, you can  customize what fields are shown on a schedule by choosing 'setup schedule' under the  'Job' menu. Fouling Factors · For non-sterile or dirty conditions, a tube and air-side fouling factor feature has been  added to the program. Consult your ARI handbook for appropriate fouling factors. We hope you like the improvements we have made. If you have any comments or suggestions please feel free to let us know. We value your input.
