Booster Coils, often referred to as duct-mounted coils, are heat exchangers installed directly into ductwork. This installation method delivers targeted temperature control to heat or cool specific areas for greater comfort and energy efficiency. Booster Coil Specifications
Precision Coils sells a variety of booster coils available with the following specifications:
- 66 Standard 1- and 2-row sizes.
- Available in 30 sizes with both 1- and 2-row headers.
- 5/8″ Outer Diameter copper tubes with .020 wall staggered tube pattern.
- 6 – 14 fins per inch (FPI).
- 16-gauge galvanized steel casings with 1″ flanges on the end plates and side plates.
- All coils are leak tested under water at 450 PSIG dry nitrogen.
- All coils are built to ARI-410 standards.
- All coils suitable for steam up to 5 PSI.
Non-Standard FPI – 1 & 2 Row Coils
- 10 FPI – Add 5%
- 12 FPI – Add 8%
- 14 FPI – Add 10%
